Wedding receptions are full of life, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Capturing these memories in a unique and exciting way can add an extra layer of magic to your wedding album. Here are some tips and ideas to help spice up your reception photography.

Tips -
Plan Fun and Unique Activities
Incorporating fun activities into your reception can create photo-worthy moments. Consider having a photo booth with quirky props, a confetti toss, or a sparkler exit. These activities not only entertain your guests but also provide great opportunities for memorable photos. Something we've been doing a lot recently is Ceilidh Dancing that is great fun for everyone involved.
Props!
Props can be a great way to add some more interest to your dance floor photos. Recently at Jacqui and Andys wedding, they gave all their guests kitchen utensils to use as "Microphones" when singing along to ABBA because thats something they all used to do as a family, and it was great!
Drinking Games
if your friends and family are a bit on the wild side, consider incorporating some drinking games into your evening, they are sure to keep your guests entertained as long as no one takes it too far. Beer pong is an easy one to set up but please check with your venue before you plan this into your day.
Have some Alternatives to Dancing
Although we would all love for every single guest at your wedding to be on the dance floor, unfortunately it’s just not everyones cup of tea. With that said, i’d recommend setting up alternatives for the guests who don’t like to dance can still find a way to let loose and have a good time. One solution we encountered last year was to set out lawn games for guests.

Final Thoughts
Spicing up your reception photography is all about creativity and collaboration. By combining the talents of a skilled photographer with the enthusiasm and imagination of the couple, you can create a collection of photos that truly capture the essence of your celebration. Remember, the key to great reception photography is to have fun and let your personalities shine through.
