Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, and it's easy to wonder if you'll even get to enjoy your big day with so much to think about. But here's the good news: you absolutely can! With the right mindset and a few simple strategies, you can fully soak in every joyful moment. This blog will walk you through practical tips to help you stress less and enjoy more on your wedding day.

Plan and let go
Planning is key, but once the big day arrives, it's time to let go and enjoy. However, once you've done your planning, let go, and let the day run it's course. If something is a little late, your guests aren't going to notice, so don't stress it. It's rare that we will attend a wedding that goes exactly to plan. Any time you have a large group of people together, things go wrong, and thats okay. Don't let an extra 15Minutes ruin your day.
Build time in for yourselves.
It’s easy to get caught up in making sure your guests are having a great time, but don’t forget about you. After all, this day is about celebrating your love! you've just gotten married and you'll want to make sure you get some time to yourselves to take it all in. Set aside some time either just after your ceremony or during cocktail hour to spend some time together.
Choose Vendors you trust
Vendors are important on your wedding day, they're the people that make your whole day come together. From the venue, to the florist, you want to make sure you can trust the vendors you hire to make sure they bring your vision to life. This also goes for the. vendors that will be with you for the long hall on your wedding day, you want to make sure you actually like them and not just their work. You're going to be spending a lot of time with your wedding coordinator, photographer and videographer on your big day, so you need to make sure you actually enjoy spending time with these people.
Delegate
Remember that you can trust your friends and family and that they can be important assets on your big day. Bridesmaids can make sure you have everything you need before the ceremony, groomsmen can help keep guests on the right track, and parents can help communicate with vendors all so you can spend more time enjoying the day and not managing details
Eat, drink and stay energised
We find that a lot of couples don't realise how long of a day their wedding is. Weddings can be exhausting because of the nerves, the emotions, being on your feet all day, the alcohol and the dancing. Don't forget to stay hydrated, this could even be a task delegated to a bridesmaid or groomsman to make sure you don't pass out (Yes we've seen this happen). Enjoy the food that you've spent all your money on, yes most couples have their sit down meal, but don't miss out on your canape's or your late night buffet, you need the energy if you're going to dance the night away.
You set the tone
i can't emphasise this enough. You set the tone for your wedding day. If you aren't having the time of your life, neither are your guests. If you are beaming with joy, your guests will be too. with this in mind, you need to embrace whatever happens on your wedding day and find a way to enjoy it. If it rains? Laugh, grab an umbrella, and dance in it. Your guests will follow your lead! You can't change the cards you're dealt, so make the most of it.
I hope these tips help you enjoy the wedding that you've been dreaming of, but if you need more advice or just want to chat, we are only a message away and happy to help.
