A bit about me 

 

Born and raised in Newcastle in the northeast of England, I started out in retail sales management and enjoyed a lot of success but found it ultimately unfulfilling. Whilst trying out hobbies I found a passion for creating art through photographs and after quite a few years of practice and training I was extremely lucky to have the opportunity  to turn a passion into a career and I've not looked back since. They say 'if you can find something you love, you'll never work a day in your life" and I truly love photography.

 

I'm very proud to say LUX is a family business I'm joined by my eldest daughter Courtney who is an amazing photographer and whilst I'm slightly biased you just need to look at her work to understand why I say she's amazing. We are joined by my wife Tracey, as of this year (2022) we been together for 24 years and married for 22, Tracey is amazing and i'm so lucky to be married to my best friend who is happy to put up with me driving her crazy (she has the patience of a saint) Tracey has an keen eye for detail and supports part time as a second shooter and with editing, we would love her to be more than part time but she also manages our sister company www.luxphotobooths.co.uk. which keeps her quite busy.

When i'm not working I just love spending time with our 2 pups Cooper the daft as a brush Cockerpoo and Marshall our apricot Labrador.

A Bit about me 

​

I studied art, design and photography at college and then furthered my education into an advanced diploma. 

 

I joined my father Richard initially as a second shooter for weddings and then branched out as a primary shooter allowing the company to double the available dates for our couples. I still shoot as a second shooter but prefer to run my own weddings as creating beautiful portraits as a primary shooter is my favourite part of the day. I just love creating artistic images, images that tell a story, images that show you at your very best.
