A beautiful Georgian Manor House nestled in a few acres of georgeous Newcastle countryside, the Manor House is steeped in history with rich architectural detailing, high ceilings, spacious public areas, exquisite furniture and elaborate fireplaces all contribute to the breath-taking grandeur of the manor. Walking around with the on-site wedding coordinator, the manor has a wonderfully luxurious and relaxing atmosphere where you get the sense that it’s their mission to make you feel like your right at home. Although it was coming into summer, I could just picture how inviting it would be to relax on the comfy sofas in front of the roaring log fire for a romantic winter wedding with a touch of snow on the ground adding to the cozy feeling.
Walking out of the Manor House across the enclosed court yard we reached the bespoke coachhouse where we were shooting the wedding, again as with the house the coachhouse is exquisitely decorated with floor to ceiling windows facing the Manor House. Inside the coachhouse you have the wedding ceremony area which nicely converts into the evening venue complete with its own bar, 1 of 2 bars onsite, whilst the room is being dressed access to the Manor House cocktail bar is available.
Whilst we didn't have the opportunity to see the outdoor area dressed for an outdoor ceremony, we did spend time in the secret garden behind the coachhouse and its now on our bucket list of weddings as it would be simply stunning.

Shotton Grange is situated on the Old Great North Road in the village of Seaton Burn, just next to the A1.
Shotton Grange is right at the top as one of our favourite venues and we highly recommend giving it consideration when looking for a wedding venue.
