Must have wedding photos and why they matter

This week we are talking must have wedding photos, and i'm not talking the obvious ones like your first kiss or cake cut, i'm talking about the things that can sometimes be overlooked but are still an important part of your day.

  1. Your invitation suite

To start us off, i believe it's always important to capture some of the details that were important on the lead up to your big day. Your invitations and save the dates might have been the first thing your guests saw in relation to your wedding and that makes them an important detail. Try have your invitation suite with you during bridal prep so your photographer can capture these details.

  2. Your bouquet

Flowers are beautiful, that's one of the big reasons a bride will have a bouquet on her wedding day, but unfortunately, they don't last forever. There are ways you can preserve them, i've seen companies that dry your flowers and frame them into a work of art, and that's fantastic, but we think it's just as important to capture your bouquet as it was on your wedding day before they wilt away.

  3. The first look

Now there are two versions of this that both work, one is to organise a first look before your ceremony, giving you guys some semi-alone time to take each other in. The other is the more traditional, capturing your groom as he takes his first look while you walk down the isle. We believe it's important to immortalise the look on your grooms face when he sees you for the first time on your wedding da, it's one of those images that always gives off pure emotion.

  4. The wedding rings

Some of the things on this list are here because they wont be around forever, and it's important to have a photo of those items. Rings on the other hand (No pun intended) are pretty much always around for the rest of your life. So you may be wondering why they are on this list? Well, it's only natural that as you wear your wedding rings they will become worn, so we believe that it's important to capture those rings and all their perfections before time begins to take its tole on them.

  5. Your wedding cake

Now this one definitely doesn't last forever, in fact, it probably wont even last the night and thats why it's important to capture it in a photo. I don't mean while you guys are cutting into it, i mean a photo of it in the best possible light, that shows off all the details of your vision before you hack into it and share it out.

These have been just some of the photos that we feel are often overlooked but hold a lot of significance. If you think there might be more, feel free to drop us a message and let us know, we love hearing from you!
