As a wedding photographer, I have had the opportunity to work at many venues, but South Causey Inn is one of my favourites. The hotel is located in a beautifully stunning countryside setting, with multiple different wedding venues to choose from, each with its own character and charm. the grand Old Barn for larger weddings, the beautiful Durham suite (our favourite) or the beautifully intimate farmhouse, they even do mini pods for a wedding celebration for 10 or less and the option to have an outdoor ceremony. Whether you're looking for a rustic barn, a modern tipi, a cosy inn, or a grand hall, you will find something that suits your vision and budget.
The staff at South Causey Inn are very friendly and helpful, and they make sure everything runs smoothly on the day, they probably the best in the business and we hold each of the co-ordinators in very high regard. They are also very accommodating to the photographers, allowing us to access the best spots for photos.
The hotel has 60 unique bedrooms and suites, each with its own theme and decor. Some of them even have luxury hot tubs, private gardens, and copper baths. These rooms are perfect for capturing the bridal preparations, the boudoir photos, and the intimate moments of the couple. Fancy something a bit different check out the converted fully kitted out double decker bus ... yep thats right your very own double decker bus.
The outdoor areas are equally impressive, with lush green fields, a tranquil lake, a lock wall, beautiful open vistas and perfectly maintained and manicured gardens. These are great for creating stunning portraits of the couple and the bridal party, as well as candid shots of the guests. The natural light and the picturesque backdrop make the photos look amazing.
