Frequently ask questions for our wedding photography team

1. What is your photography style?

Answer: At Lux Wedding Photography, we specialise in elegant, timeless, and emotive storytelling with a blend of fine-art and documentary styles. Our work is light-filled, romantic, and sophisticated, tailored to reflect your unique love story, we blend in as much as possible to let you enjoy celebrating your wedding.

2. Do you shoot digital, film, or both?

Answer: We shoot high-end digital photography for superior quality and flexibility but can incorporate film style photography (35mm or medium format) to our editing style on request this gives the benefit of quality with a nostalgic feel to the images.

3. How many weddings do you photograph per year?

Answer: We limit bookings to 25-30 weddings per year per photographer to ensure each couple receives personalized attention and meticulous editing.

4. Can we see a full wedding gallery (not just highlights)?

Answer: Absolutely! We’ll provide 3-4 complete wedding galleries so you can see our consistency in storytelling, lighting, and editing, just drop us a message and we'll send over the links for albums that match the style and feel of your venue.

5. Do you work with a second shooter? Is it included?

Answer: Yes, our packages can include a professional second shooter to capture multiple perspectives, groom prep, and guest moments.

6. What’s included in your packages?

Answer: check out our packages page here where we detail both what's included and the cost but some key points for all packages

  • pre-wedding planning meetings we can get to know you and understand what's important from your day as well as planning everything out with you.

  • High-resolution edited images with no limits on quantity

7. How many final edited images will we receive?

Answer: You’ll receive 600+ beautifully edited images. We don’t withhold images—every meaningful moment is delivered.

8. Do you retouch all images?

Answer: Every image is professionally color-graded and lightly retouched. Advanced retouching (e.g., skin smoothing, blemish removal) is available for select portraits.

9. How long until we receive our photos?

Answer:

  • Sneak peeks within 48 hours

  • Full gallery in 6-8 weeks (faster for off-season weddings)

  • Albums take 8-12 weeks after design approval

10. What’s your backup process?

Answer: We hold your photos on separate hard drives whilst editing then, in a fire safe for long term storage for 10 years and on a online album for you for 5 years

11. Do you travel for weddings? What are the fees?

Answer: Yes! We’re available all over the UK for weddings, mainland weddings do not have any travel fee's. if you're traveling abroad for a wedding please get in touch for a custom package.

12. What if you’re ill on our wedding day?

Answer: Its rare that we book 3 weddings on any given day so in the event of sickness another member of the team would step in. As a back up we also have 6 trusted associate photographers that we work with each year, these may be your second photographer on any given wedding in the event another member of the team can't step your wedding would be covered by a professional photographer.  Your contract guarantees coverage.

13. Can we customize a package?

Answer: Definitely! We tailor packages based on coverage hours, albums, prints, and additional sessions (e.g., bridal portraits, rehearsal dinners).

14. Do you offer videography services?

Answer: YES certainly, we have two videographers as part of the LUX team, hire both your photographer and videographer from the same company ensures a seamless services with no fuss for both photography and cinematography.

15. How do you handle low-light situations (e.g., dimly lit churches)?

Answer: We use professional low-noise cameras, fast lenses, and subtle off-camera lighting to maintain a natural, elegant look—never harsh or intrusive.

16. Do you help with timeline planning?

Answer: Yes! We’ll guide you on optimal lighting times, portrait schedules, and buffer periods to ensure a stress-free day with stunning photos and as much time celebrating as possible (and anytime you need 5 minutes peace away from the crowds, we can arrange an impromptu photo session)

17. Are engagement sessions included?

Answer: Our package 3 includes a complimentary engagement shoot, perfect for getting comfortable in front of the camera and creating save-the-date artwork and you can book one in addition to any other package.

18. What’s your pricing range?

Answer: Packages start at £495 for video content creation, with full-day luxury full media coverage ranging for £3999. Our most popular package covers both photo and video for £2195. Custom quotes available.

19. How do we book you? What’s the deposit?

Answer: A £100 non-refundable deposit secures your date, with the balance due 4 weeks before the wedding. We’ll send a contract and booking confirmation.

20. Do you offer albums and prints?

Answer: Yes! We design handcrafted luxury albums (flush-mount, layflat options) and offer fine-art prints, canvases, and framing—perfect for heirloom-quality keepsakes.
