Last week we spoke all about Bridal prep, but Wedding day prep isn't just for the brides – us guys need to get in on the action too! While bridal prep is often associated with stress and last-minute fixes, groom prep tends to have a more relaxed vibe. But that doesn't mean you can't use this time to ensure everything is picture-perfect for your big day! Here are some top tips to help you make the most of your groom prep:

1. Get Ready with Plenty of Time:

The key to a stress-free groom prep is giving yourself ample time to get ready. Rather than rushing through the process, start early so you can make any necessary adjustments to your attire. Whether it's trying on different tie knots or making sure your shoes are polished to perfection, having extra time on your hands will allow you to focus on the details without feeling rushed. (This goes for the groomsmen as well, i know how you guys like to push the grooms limits)

2. Gather Your Groomsmen:

One of the best parts of groom prep is getting to hang out with your best mates before the ceremony. Round up your groomsmen and enjoy some quality bonding time as you get ready together. Whether you're sharing a few laughs, reminiscing about old times, or practicing your dance moves, having your closest friends by your side will make the morning even more memorable.

3. Prep Your Details:

Just like the bride, you'll want to ensure all your wedding day details are in order. From your tie and cufflinks to your watch and socks, gather all your accessories and lay them out in advance. If you're unsure how to put on a buttonhole or tie a tie, don't worry – I've got your back! I'm always happy to lend a hand and make sure you're looking your best on the big day. But watching a quick video in the run up to your big day, goes a long way.

4. Take Some Time for Yourself:

Amidst the excitement of the morning, don't forget to carve out a few moments of peace and quiet for yourself. Whether it's going for a short walk, or simply taking a moment to reflect on the day ahead, prioritising your mental well-being will help you stay calm and collected throughout the festivities.

5. Embrace the Candid Moments:

Your groom prep is filled with countless candid moments that your photographer will love to capture. From sharing a toast with your groomsmen to sharing a heartfelt hug with your parents, don't be afraid to let your emotions shine. These candid moments are what make your wedding day truly special, so embrace them wholeheartedly and let your personality shine through.

6. Have Fun with It:

Above all, remember to have fun! Your wedding day is a celebration of your love and commitment, so enjoy every moment of it. Laugh, dance, and soak in the joy of the day – after all, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you'll cherish forever.
